SHORT ORAL COMMUNICATIONS (SO)

Short Oral Communications were proposed to the International Program Committee via a one-page abstract which will be included in the Proceedings of the Conference if accepted. The deadline for the submission of SO proposals was March, 1^st, 2010. The number of submitted proposals was 105.

Proposals for such communications were reviewed by the members of the International Program Committee. Notification of the decision of the IPC to accept or reject a SO proposal were sent on April, 2010. In case of non-acceptance, a short justification of the decision was provided and available in the Conftool system website at https://www.conftool.com/pme34/index.php (author’s personal page)

In order for an accepted proposal to appear in the proceedings the presenting author(s) must pay the total Conference fee no later than May 17^th, 2010. (The Conference Deposit already paid by the presenting author(s) for the Pre-Registration is non-refundable.)

SO Communications will be presented in groups of three. Each individual SO is allocated 10 minutes for the oral presentation and, when all three presentations are completed, a 15 minutes period is devoted to discussion on all three presentations.
